It was a last minute cover up their messes before all the guests for the Olympic arrive. Guess what? they are actually building a wall or for much simpler, a giant banner to cover up those small roadside stalls and restaurants, or even with a veil of green plastic netting covering up a half-demolished restaurant along the Olympic marathon route. Do you think this is fair act to the civilians? Well, first thing first, they got recognized as the most polluted city on earth and they are still struggling to stop the air pollution before the event, I went to Beijing last year October, indeed the extra heavy traffic has caused the whole city running into air pollution and it is extremely unhealthy. Their environment are in a messed all the while, and yet they tries to fake themselves up by doing this. Why don't they clean them up earlier instead, the moment when they got the approval of holding this Olympic?
How do they expect to cover up the messes by building those walls and banners while it might only look clean on the outside, mess on the inside?
Giant banner covering the inside messesWill a foreign visitors who walk through the road and come across the wall, with curiosity, goes beyond the wall to see what's behind? I Just don't feel the point here.
