Eagle Eye, particularly I like its chinese name 【鹰眼】the most. the movie was released on 2nd October in Malaysia. Before this movie was launched, by watching the trailer we only got to know that this movie will be somehow similar to Simon Says, and there's actually a woman on the phone commanding both main characters to obey what she said.
Well, I was wrong with that. It's rather more interesting with how the plot went into and eventually we got to know that this is no woman, in fact it is just a pure A.I. system name "Aria" which was originally created to trace and analyze terrorist activities across the States, it then took over the entire networked and electronic systems over the United States without living any single trace. Very well written based on the current trends of living in United States with full of surveillance and off-privacy. Some how, the A.I. reminds me of Stealth (2005) too. ^^
Shia LeBeouf plays the role of Jerry Shaw who worked as a photocopy assistant in a shop, unlike his twin brother Ethan Shaw who has an IQ of 183 who worked for the government and just died in a car crashed. The story starts with one day, Jerry receives a mysterious call (Aria) and then was told that he has been "activated" and he must obey. Same goes to Michelle Monaghan plays the role of Rachel Holloman, she was threaten by Aria that she must obey, else her son will die. Both character with different background will then work together to an end.
This movie is far more interesting considering a U-rated film in Malaysia. Not much involve of killings but somehow it will entertain you with how Aria controlled both Jerry and Rachel in their escapes from federal agents. This would be a good movie at this time around before Bangkok Dangerous hits to our local cinemas on 23rd October.
